HCL Notes Developer
Description

We seek applications from the HCL Notes Developer to maintain and support the fleet of existing business critical HCL Notes/Domino applications.

Experience

You must have
Essential:
• 10 years experience in Application System Design including at a minimum demonstrable and practical experience in OSGi plugins, Vertx, Apache Karaf, Gradle, BndTools, Java 1.8 through to Java 17, JavaScript, and related Web technologies.
• An in-depth knowledge HCL Notes Domino of at least version 9 through 12.0.2.
• Highly developed application design, development and, implementation skills, specifically related to HCL Notes/Domino.
Desirable
• Demonstrated ability to deliver business solutions within agreed time, cost, and quality expectations.

• Ability to adhere to agreed standards and better practice frameworks for system development lifecycle management, architecture and design, project management and change management.
• Willingness and ability to contribute to continuous improvement of application development, quality assurance, support, and management frameworks for ICT Service Delivery. This includes contributing to maintenance and improvement of the development environment, tools, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships and translate business requirements. Experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation.

Working Hours
A full-time equivalent basis of 8 hours / day over the initial engagement period. DFAT’s preference is for the services to be provided on-site at DFAT’s office location (51 Allara Street, Canberra), however flexible working arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis i.e. 3 days in office + 2 days from home. Interstate / remote based candidates will not be considered for this role.

Duration of employment
An initial contract term of up to 6-months is being offered with 2 x 6-month extension options at DFAT’s sole and absolute discretion. It is expected that the successful candidates will be available to perform the services on a full-time basis up to a maximum of (960) billable hours, which is based on an allowance of 120 working days x 8 hours / day over the initial 6 month engagement period. Note: DFAT has a stand-down period within December and January each year. Duration of the stand down period is at DFAT’s discretion).

$160-$180 Per hour
